Driven by a vision to bring a tailored approach to payroll processes that weren’t available from the large national payroll firms, Premier Payroll NW, based in Beaverton, Oregon, has been providing customized solutions to small and medium-sized companies since 2005.

Under the qualified leadership of Michael Madrid, our company has experienced significant business growth and seen many changes in the payroll industry. With a solid 20-year background in business ownership, Michael joined us as Vice President in 2009, reinvigorating our operations, streamlining policies, and implementing best practices. His impact was immediately felt, initiating a period of growth and advancement. Fast forward to 2021, Michael’s inexhaustible passion, work ethic and strategic foresight led him to become our President and CEO. His unmatched dedication kept our sails high even in turbulent waters, making us the strong company we are today. His vision continues to propel us forward.

In September 2018, our company welcomed our now General Manager, Shelby Peck-Orita. With her vast experience in HR and office management skills, Shelby showcased an exceptional blend of expertise and leadership. Her remarkable efforts led to the formation of a powerhouse team of professional, skilled, and highly talented individuals specializing in all aspects of payroll functions. Handpicked by Shelby herself, every member of this trustworthy team works individually with each of our valued customers, offering them the utmost care and attention they deserve. Since a majority of the employers we serve are in the country’s NW region, we changed our name to Premier Payroll NW. However, as many NW companies have embraced remote work sites, we now service those employers’ workers and process payroll in over 45 states.
